I sent Carston the lyrincs but for those who might be interested in
the original Happy Louie lyrics for Love And Peace Polka, here they
are:

Verse 1- Now let everybody listen, I need some help from you
just like the springtime needs the rain. Let's cut out those Polish
jokes,
we're as good as other folks. Polish blood is flowing through my
veins.

Verse 2- I was aborn in Massachusetts in a little country town, love
all its
winding roads and lanes. My grandpa dziadek spoiled me; my babciu
never frowned. Polish blood iss flowing through my veins.

Chorus: Join me in this song. Sing it loud and strong. Love one in
peace
and harmony. Stop those Polish jokes and love those Polish folks.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Verse 3- There's a Warsaw, Indiana and a New World Ledice. There's
Muskie and
Poland up in Maine. Brother Jasiu's in Hawaii and Kasia's in L.A.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Verse 4- Padarewski, that great artist, gave up his whole career to
guide his land
with gentle reins. And Pulaski died a hero when he fought right
ouver here.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Chorus: (above)

Verse 5- We have always fought for freedom, our heros are renowned,
born with
inequality and chains. Like the trumpeter of Krakow, let's always
stand our ground.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Verse 6- Our heritage is splendid and when history is through,
there'll be a roll-call
of great names. Marshal Pilsudski will be there and Kosciuszko too.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Chorus: (above)

Verse 7- So don't make fun of the Polish, the Italians or the Greeks,
Portuguese, the
French, the Swede or Dane. 'Cause America can give us the freedom
that we seek
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Verse 8- Yes, I come from Massachusetts where minutemen stood firm
fighting for
freedom, not for fame. And this Polish heart within me for America
will burn.
Polish blood is flowing through my veins.

Chorus: (above)

Rocky, thanks for posting the lyrics on the forum.

I was thinking about posting them after you sent them to me but I
wasn't sure about the part
"New World Ledice".

A big polka song in its time---just one small point: ""Ledice""
is actually spelled Lidice and it was located in Czechoslovakia, not
Poland. It was a village wiped out by the Nazis ( a terrible war
crime ) in revenge for the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich, the
Nazi ""Protector"" of (Czech) Bohemia and Moravia. ---Also I never
knew that there was a ""New World Lidice"" ---has anyone else heard of
such a place? ...
